Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the CookingFriend app and website (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Who we are
The Service is operated by Sören Klingner, Germany (see Imprint for full legal details). Contact: hello@cookingfriend.app.
2. Using the Service
- You may use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes.
- You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
- You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.
- You must not use the Service to upload illegal, harmful, or infringing content.
- You must not attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or disrupt the Service.
3. Your content
You retain ownership of any content you upload or create in the Service. By submitting content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store and display it solely to operate the Service for you and those you share with.
We do not use your content to train AI models or sell it to third parties.
4. Account deletion
You can delete your account at any time via Profile → Privacy → Delete account. Deletion is permanent and immediate. All your data is removed within 30 days. No waiting period, no need to contact support.
5. Subscriptions and purchases
If CookingFriend offers paid features, purchases are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store) and subject to their respective terms. We use RevenueCat to manage entitlements. Refund requests must be directed to the relevant store.
6. Availability and changes
We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We will give reasonable notice for material changes that affect you.
7. Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death, personal injury, or fraud caused by our negligence.
8. Governing law
These Terms are governed by German law. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Germany, unless mandatory consumer-protection law in your country provides otherwise.
9. Online Dispute Resolution
The European Commission provides a platform for online dispute resolution (ODR): https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr/. We are not obliged to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board and do not do so.
10. Changes to these Terms
We will notify you of material changes via in-app notice or email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
